Pick your rotation (like 14/14 or 21/7), or choose Custom and set the days on and off. Then set the first day of the hitch you're on now, or of your next one if you're home. The preview at the bottom shows your next six weeks before you save.

Under Shifts, choose Swap every hitch and whether your first hitch is days or nights. If you switch partway through each hitch (for example, nights from day 8), choose Swap partway through instead.

Turn on Set crew-change days and pick the weekdays. Hitches then only start on those days, and time off runs long until the next one comes around.

Tap any day on Today or the Calendar, then Change Days from Here. Choose Home, Work or Travel, the dates, and a note if you like. Your rotation carries on around it, so nothing after it moves.

Tap the day the new rotation starts, then New Rotation from This Day. Days before it stay as they were. To fix a mistake in your current rotation instead, tap Edit Rotation on Today.

Touch and hold an empty spot on your Home Screen, tap Edit, then Add Widget, and search for Next Hitch. For the Lock Screen, touch and hold the Lock Screen, tap Customize, then choose Lock Screen and tap the widget area. If you follow more than one person, touch and hold the widget and tap Edit Widget to choose whose days it shows.

In the app, tap the gear icon and make sure Crew-Change Reminders is on. Then check your iPhone's Settings → Notifications → Next Hitch and make sure notifications are allowed. Reminders arrive the evening before a hitch starts or ends, at the time you chose.

On Today, tap the share button. Send the link in Messages, or let them scan the QR code with their iPhone's camera. It opens in Next Hitch on their phone. The link doesn't update by itself, so when your rotation changes, send a new one.

Everything for one person is free, including widgets, reminders and sharing. Pro adds pay tracking (paydays, days worked, overtime and per diem), your year on one page to print or send, your hitches in the Calendar app, and following as many people as you like. It's available as Lifetime, a one-time purchase, or as a yearly plan.

Tap the gear icon, then turn on Add Hitches to Calendar and allow calendar access. Next Hitch adds each hitch as an all-day event and keeps them up to date. Choose a shared iCloud calendar and your family sees your hitches in their own Calendar app. Next Hitch only ever changes events it added, and turning it off removes them.

They're an estimate before tax, worked out from your rotation, your rates, and any vacations or extra days you've added. Your employer's pay stub is the final word.

Tap the gear icon, then Unlock Next Hitch Pro, then Restore Purchases. Make sure you're signed in to the same Apple Account you used to buy it.

On your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Next Hitch. Or in the app, tap the gear icon, then Pro unlocked, then Manage Subscription. Cancel at least 24 hours before it renews, and Pro stays on until the end of the year you paid for.

Your rotation lives on your iPhone and is included in your iPhone backups. When you set up a new iPhone from an iCloud backup, a computer backup, or Quick Start, Next Hitch comes across with everything in it.

Purchases are handled by Apple. You can request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Deleting the app removes everything it stored on your iPhone. If you added hitches to the Calendar app, turn that off first in the app's settings to remove those events. We don't store any of your data anywhere else.
